Pilots

Republic Helicopters, Inc. provides helicopter transportation to oil tankers, drilling rigs and production platforms. We incorporated in January of 1997 in the State of Texas and are owned and operated by Johnny and Kjirstin DuPont.

We hold a Federal Aviation Regulations Part 135 Air Carrier Certificate and a Federal Aviation Regulations Part 133 Operating Certificate. We are an “on demand” air charter company operating along the Gulf Coast primarily for the offshore oil and gas industry. Our specialty is shipping and lightering operations.

Kjirstin “KJ” DuPont is the President of Republic Helicopters, Inc. She holds a Commercial Pilot Certificate with an Instrument Rating and is a graduate of the University of North Dakota’s Center for Aerospace Science. KJ has worked in the aviation and air transportation industry since 1988.

Johnny DuPont is the Vice President and Director of Operations of Republic Helicopters, Inc. He holds an ATP and CFI Rotorcraft and ATP Airplane ME and SE has 16,000 + hours of flight time (during this time, no accidents, no incidents and no violations). Johnny holds the position of FAA designated Check Airman and Director of Operations as well as flying as a line pilot several hours per week.

Oldrich “Junior” Firasek is the Director of Maintenance and has been since the company started in 1997. Junior holds an A and P Certificate, and Inspection Authorization. He is also a Private Pilot. He has been working in helicopter maintenance for 23 years.
